Brussels Fashion Days

As we mentioned in our previous post, today we bring in front of you a few snapshots to summarize our experience at Brussels Fashion Days, an event eagerly awaited by all fashionistas in Belgium. It goes without saying how much we enjoyed the show and the inspiration we've gathered from the eclectic people that were present there.
The event was organized by ELLE Belgique and it brought together quite some well known personalities on the Belgian scene. If you'll watch this post's videos you'll notice seated in the front row three Belgian ministers, along with Mr. Edouard Vermeulen, the worldwide known designer from Natan proudly supporting the Belgian fashion industry. Speaking of Mr. Vermeulen, did you know that his designs are worn by Queen Mathilde of Belgium and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands?
This year, in order to celebrate 30 years of existence of the brand, Mr Edouard Vermeulen revealed his collection NATAN Couture Autumn-Winter 2013 during the Paris Fashion Week, for the first time. In a royal ambiance, on the 1st of July 2013 at the Belgian Embassy in Paris, 25 models presented 48 of the most exquisite looks signed by the designer.
Back in Brussels, the Brussels Fashion Days "Grand Defilé" was opened by Marjorie Vermeulen's collection, a young promising Belgian designer who graduated from the fashion department of the ENSAV La Cambre, where else, of course? The dominant features of her collection are innocence and sensuality, two feminine traits highlighted by clothes in pastels colours, monochromatic tones and rich fabrics. Curious about Marjorie's designs? Watch the video in the bottom of the post.
After the defilé, the posh crowd thirsty for fashion and champagne rushed to the cocktail area to share some thoughts on the fashion trends and enjoy some good music. We've had a pleasant evening and we're looking forward to the next Brussels Fashion Days with, hopefully, more designers, artists and more fashionable people. Good job Elle Belgique!
We leave you with some photos from BFD and stay tuned for a new episode Inspired By…where you will be able to discover the world through the eyes of a flight attendant.

Love,

Laura&Elena
