Postcards from Paris

Bonjour les filles! With La Boheme still echoing in our minds we left rainy Paris to return home. Our rainy home. Not before collecting some souvenirs, not only from the material ones, but most important, from the non-material ones: memories. You will find in this post a random collection of photos from the streets of Paris, Sacre-Coeur, Louvre museum and the Versailles palace. It was hard to select just a couple of them, since the beauty of everything we saw was undeniable and we wish to introduce you as best as possible in the fairy-tale atmosphere.
For art lovers, the Louvre museum is a prelude to heaven. With the greatest collection of art-works in the world, over 1 million, it mesmerized us at every step. Tiziano, DaVinci, Goya, Rubens, Delacroix, Vermeer and many others at one glance, along with unsurpassed Greco-Roman, Egyptian and Islamic art collections for archeology passionates (we know at least one on this blog:).
We arrived at Versailles on a cold rainy morning and waited around one hour in a chinese dragon shaped queue along with other frozen tourists before being able to enter the palace. The luxurious setting instantly caught our eye and at one point we were almost expecting to see Marie Antoinette in one of her magnificent dresses to glance at one of the windows.
While strolling around Moulin Rouge, Franziska, from The Fashion ID Blog asked to take a couple of photos of us and made a nice post about streetstyle in Paris. Check out her blog, she and her collaborators are doing a really good job.
Until the next time, we are wishing you a calm week and a lovely beginning of summer!

Love,

Bloggers, clothes, dj, drinks and cupcakes at Vide-dressing du Café de la Presse

On Friday we went to Vide-dressing du Café de la Presse, an event which involved bloggers, clothes, a dj, drinks and, of course, cupcakes. The perfect combination to gather up a cool young crowd from Brussels enjoying the much awaited warmth of a May evening. While enjoying an Aperol and coveting  the blogger's wardrobes we met the super cute girls from My boy is not a hipster and discussed about a collaboration between our blogs. Hopefully you'll see it soon on The Girls with the Rose Colored Glasses.
Laura took out for a spin the coolest leather pants in town, of course, from Alchimie. We improvised a quick photoshoot on our way home and now, reviewing the photos, we noticed it seems almost as if the city was deserted. That's part of the magic, I guess.
A full weekend sounds like a good plan for us, so that's what we're doing, in case someone's wondering. Have a nice one you all, wherever you might be while reading this post.

Love,

Laura&Elena
